01About the client

About the client

Kelvin Film Lab is a post-production studio in Yerevan, positioned as "Yerevan / Worldwide". The studio does editing, colour grading, finishing and DIT & dailies for films, series, documentaries, commercials and music videos.

For a studio like this, the website is both the showcase of its work and the way in for new projects, and the team needs to update it themselves, quickly.

02The challenge

What needed solving

The studio needed more than a static website: a system that lets the team run its own presence.

  • Show the work at a cinematic level: video, covers and Kelvin's role on every project.
  • Explain the services simply, from editing to finishing.
  • Make a new project inquiry easy and safe.
  • Update content without a developer, in Armenian and English.
  • Publish under control, with a preview and no accidental changes on the live site.

From problem to system

  1. Starting point

A studio's site has to show the work at a cinematic level and stay current — without a developer for every change.

  2. The solution

A bilingual website (hy, en) and an Admin/CMS where every change moves from draft to preview before it reaches the site.

  3. What changes

The team keeps its presence up to date itself, in two languages, with controlled publishing.

03Approach

How we built the system

We designed the website and the management system together: every public section has its own managed model in the admin, and every change moves from draft to preview before it reaches the site.

  1. Section and content map

We defined the site sections — work, services, Journal, about and contact — and the managed fields for each.

  2. The brand on the web

We turned the Kelvin mark, the red dot and the rhythm of dark and light sections into the website's visual system.

  3. Public website

Bilingual, responsive pages with large typography and a cinematic presentation of the work.

  4. Admin/CMS and publishing

A page builder, media, inquiries and a draft → preview → publish flow.

  5. Releases and continuous development

The system ships in stages, and every release is checked before it goes out.

04Work

What we created

  1. Brand and visual direction

The round "k" mark and wordmark, the red dot, dark and light sections and large typography: cinematic, but restrained.

  2. UX and public website

Work, services, Journal, about and contact, with clear navigation and a full-screen mobile menu.

  3. Portfolio presentation system

Every project has a type, year, Kelvin's role, video, desktop and mobile covers, a gallery, categories and services.

  4. Services and Journal

A managed list of services and a Journal with topics and an automatic reading time.

  5. Contact and inquiry flow

A short form with only the fields that matter, spam protection, confirmation only once the inquiry is saved, and inquiry handling in the admin.

  6. Admin/CMS and content workflow

A visual page builder, media, navigation, typography and colours, inquiries, users and a change log, with role-based access.

  7. Bilingual system

All content in Armenian and English: paired fields, separate addresses and correct language markup for search engines.

  8. SEO, accessibility and responsive quality

Canonical, hreflang, Open Graph and sitemap, analytics only after consent, WCAG AA contrast checked at publishing time, responsive pages.

The content path, from draft to site

An explanatory diagram based on the system's documented workflow, not a screenshot.

  1. Draft changes are saved without touching the site
  2. Preview at phone, tablet and desktop sizes
  3. Publish the Armenian and English versions on the site
  4. New change editing a published page starts as a draft
  5. Archive content leaves the site without being deleted

07The result

What changed

Kelvin Film Lab has a live bilingual website and a management system the team uses to keep its presence up to date:

  • Systematic content management, without a developer.
  • One consistent structure for presenting projects.
  • Controlled publishing in two languages, with a preview.
  • A clear split between the public site and the admin.
  • An extensible foundation for further development.

We do not publish measured figures (traffic, inquiries) until they are confirmed.

Continuous development

The collaboration is ongoing: the system ships in stages and keeps growing with the studio's needs.
